OverviewSeparate cases were originally filed in Alameda and San Francisco alleging uninsured patients incurred excessive charges for medical services. The plaintiffs seek relief pursuant to the California Unfair Competition Act [Business and Professions Code Section 17200, et seq.], the Consumer Legal Remedies Act [Civil Code Section 1750 et seq.] and allege unjust enrichment, breach of contract and breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing. The separate cases are coordinated for trial before the Superior Court, Sacramento County and entitled Sutter Health Uninsured Pricing Cases, JCCP No. 4388. Tentative RulingsThroughout the course of this action, the Court will utilize a tentative ruling procedure to allow counsel to preview proposed rulings prior to the hearing date. Two court days prior to hearing on any pre-trial motion, the Court will post a tentative ruling on this website.
