About Probate Calendar Notes

The Probate Attorneys review all petitions and orders for content and legal requirements before they are acted upon by the court. The Probate Attorneys publish probate notes itemizing any legal deficiencies and making recommended rulings on each case. Probate notes are ordinarily available 16 days prior to the hearing at http://www.saccourt.com/publicdms2/DefaultDMS.aspx.

Calendar Notes are summaries prepared by the probate attorneys after reviewing your petition. This summary is transmitted to the probate judge and assists him/her during the review of your matter. Notes will include an identification of the parties involved in this matter, the relief sought, summaries of reports and objections, and a listing of deficiencies in your petition.

A petition with deficiencies will show up on your notes as a question or a statement followed by "NEEDED."  If there is a NEEDED on your notes, please respond to that question or statement before the matter is heard by the court. Responding to the deficiency includes sending in pleading that conforms to Rules of Court 7.104 and clears the deficiency by amending or supplementing your petition. All pleadings must be filed by noon two days prior to the hearing date in order to be considered by the court.
